 Undercover Quilters

Throughout our 25 year history, Undercover Quilters has been committed to outreach and aware of our ability, through quilting, to offer warmth and comfort where it is needed.  The organizations we work with have changed over that period, as the needs of our greater community have changed, but our guild continues to look outward to put our gifts and enthusiasm to work to benefit others.

Our primary working group is the Kids' Quilts Project.  Using purchased and donated fabric, we make bright and cozy, flannel-backed Brick & Block pattern quilts to carry a message of caring to the children who receive them. We currently support the Domestic Abuse Project's Safe House, through sale of our quilts at Nana's Attic, located in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center. All monies go directly to meet the needs of those served by the DAP.  Our Kid's Quilts are also donated to the children served by the Presbyterian Children's Village, Bryn Mawr, PA., and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to our service to children, we work across generations with Pathways, the Veteran's Administration Hospital and Fair Acres, Media, PA. to provide both quilts and other support for those agencies' special projects. Beyond our established ties, we honor as many particular, individual requests as we are able.

If you are interested in learning more about our community outreach, please contact us.  We will put you in touch with the person coordinating your area of interest.
