How to Blog 01/10/2012
Thanks for all the wonderful feedback! I love that people are jumping in and trying this out! Let me do a quick summary of how to comment on a post. Right now, Leslie and I are the only people who can write posts. A post starts a blog conversation, so to speak. After the post starts the conversational ball rolling, other people can comment on the post. To do this, click on the word Comment/s either above the post, (to the right of the title of the post, if there is one,) or below the post. If others have already submitted comments, they will appear. Scroll to the end of the comments and you will see a form that says 'Leave a Reply'. This is where you type in your comment. You need to type in your name, but you do not have to leave your full name, or even initials will. Just something needs to be in that space. Fill in your email address although it will not appear when the comment is published. You can ignore the website line. Then hit the Submit button. Voila! You've done it! Now others can read the post, then hit the Comments link and read what you've written. Once we have more than one post, as we do now, you can choose which one you want to comment on. You can go back and comment on an earlier post; you do not have to comment on only the most recent post. If an older post, and its comments, are a topic that interests you, you can continue to follow that thread of the conversation. If you want to, you can add another comment, commenting on someone else's comment, just like in a verbal conversation. As I do the housekeeping on the blog, if I see something come in that deserves to be its own post because it has wider relevence than its conversational thread, I'll take it and move it. I'm going to do that as soon as I'm done with this post because one of our last comments asked for help and I want to get that out where more people might see it. 5 Comments | AuthorsStacy K. is a long time member of Undercover Quilters.
